Ignited Student Ministry exists to strengthen the mission of the Church in Strasburg, and our global mission as disciples of Jesus Christ. Ignited invests in students in 6th -12th grade, so that they know Christ, grow in Christ, and go with Christ. Serving our community is very important to us, so you’ll often find students and leaders working outside of the church building.
On Sundays we meet for Sunday school at 10am. Middle School youth group is from 5-6:30pm and High school youth group is from 6:30-7pm on Sunday evenings.
Monthly, we plan trips and events to represent Christ outside of the church building. Every Winter we take a weekend retreat in the mountains. Each Summer, we go on mission together in the U.S., serving communities in various ways. Every four years, high school students go to Italy on a mission to share Jesus with elementary students.

Confirmation
When youth join the church, they make a commitment to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ within the body of Christ here at First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg. Youth who feel called to prepare for their confirmation take a year-long journey with Pastor Bob, a mentor, and fellow confirmands. They participate in class activities, individual meetings, and activities with mentors to discern Christ’s desire for them. Classes start in September – contact Kristin for details.
